We’ve been purchasing whole bean 4 Four for almost 3 years, happy to support locals. We find it to be consistent and a great blend of bitter/ sweet.

I was new to home espresso, and tried many different blends from many different manufacturers, and could never get the dialling in right and they would always end up astringent, sour, or really bitter.
That all ended when I stumbled upon this blend (after a cafe I went to used Black Drum Roasters and their coffee was smooooth). Have been exclusively using for most of the year now.
This blend is super easy and exceptionally straightforward to get right. Highly recommend for beginners.
Just grind 18g and put it into your portafilter, turn on your espresso machine and stop when the scale reads 36g (for a 1:2 brew ratio). Aim for the extraction to take around 30 seconds. And it’s great! 🙂

A good dark rich, coffee flavour. Great as a start to the morning with a lovely smooth choc aftertaste.
