Now, onto the recipe.

The Ultimate French Press Recipe

For the best result using the French Press technique, aim for 1 part coffee to 15 parts water.

Recipe:

  • 15 grams fresh ground coffee, medium coarse. Here, we’ve used our Ethiopian single origin, Uraga. Ensure you are using coffee ground on a medium coarseness setting to allow for a nice consistent brew.
  • 225 ml water

Method:

  1. Make sure the plunger is heated up.
  2. Place the coffee into the plunger.
  3. Pour about a third of the water on top of the coffee, making sure that it’s fully saturated. Stir.
  4. Let it bloom for about a minute or so.
  5. Then, pour the water up to the line.
  6. Enjoy!
