For those who don’t know, the pour over method involves pouring hot water through coffee grounds in a filter. The water drains through the coffee and filter into your cup. Pour over is also known as a filter or drip coffee.

Here’s our Favourite Pour Over Recipe

Ingredients:

For two serves of coffee using the pour over method, you will need:

Generally, you will need a ratio of: 1:15-16, so 1 part coffee to 15-16 parts water as a general guide. We have found with this coffee, it’s best to brew slightly above 16 parts water for the optimal flavour profile.

Method:

  1. Bloom – 30 seconds with about double the weight of coffee, so 60g of water.
  2. Then pour the remainder of your water over two minutes in a circular motion.
  3. You want to aim for a total brew time of approximately 3 minutes so for the best result, ensure when you are pouring the water, it is a steady and consistent flow of water from the kettle.
