Sibu Coffee Producers and Exporters source cherry from their own farms, as well as from farmers who deliver to their three washing stations. Each station employs 20 permanent and 180 seasonal workers. The Guji region, located 300 to 400 km south of Addis Ababa in the Oromia Region, is characterised by its steep terrain and ample rainfall, creating ideal conditions for coffee cultivation.
Established in 2002, Guji was previously part of Yirgacheffe and has its roots in the Oromo people's long-standing coffee farming traditions. Once considered part of the broader Sidamo classification, Guji coffees are now recognized for their unique profiles and local varieties, gaining international acclaim for their quality.
